This was the D-Backs very first year in the SEYAA. They had to create a new team to absorb all the new free agents the
league was getting this year. I was a coach for two years on the Braves at the time. I step up and became the manager of this
newly created team. I was given my choice of free agents and one special draft pick. No one wanted this team because it's
first year would be a losing season they believed. We went out there and still tried hard. We won two games and was last but
had the most fun that year.
The kids fought hard and lost most games only by a point or two. Kyle Prudhomme was looked at to lead the other kids
alot in the DugOut and on the field. It was an interesting season.
